New Year, New Camera, New Site!

This year I am hoping to create many more photos than last especially with my new Canon 7D my wonderful family got me for Christmas! I am in the process of redesigning my website and that should be live in a few days. It is very obvious that I am obsessed with designing my site, but I feel like change is a good thing and, being a graphic designer, I have to try out new things all the time!

Below are a few shots I took of Mya with my new camera.

To start off, I love this time of year! Saturday I spent the day at a friends house taking pictures of her daughters 1st birthday party. She is one of the most adorable little girls! Today I spent the morning on a Christmas tree farm taking pictures for a friends Christmas cards. It was a fun, photo filled weekend!

I was going through my old photos on my computer tonight and found this one that I never posted on here. This is one of my all time favorite photos from one of the first weddings I assisted. You can just tell when looking at it how in love this couple is, plus I love the fact that the beer is right in the shot!

At the end of August my family and I went to Vegas and rented motorcycles to ride around the Grand Canyon and back. While it was really, really hot, it was a great trip and I got the chance to shoot some photos in some beautiful locations. Some of these photos are from the back of my husbands bike as well. Hope you enjoy!

Aaron and Amber get married!

On Saturday, June 25th, I assisted Robin Day (www.robindayphotography.net) in photographing an ex-NFL players wedding in Aldie, VA. The wedding was on a beautiful estate, bit of a strange house, but beautiful and it was a great day. I just updated my Families section of my website with a few of my favorite photos from a shoot with the Bray family. I have taken photos of this family for roughly 3 years, since I started getting into professional photography. It is a blast to see the photos and to watch how the kids grow up.
